From a small gathering to a thriving community — the journey of Masjid At-Taqwa.
2008
Our Beginning
Masjid At-Taqwa was founded by a small group of families who recognized the need for a dedicated place of worship in Ann Arbor. With limited resources but strong conviction, they established a space where Muslims could gather for salah, learn the Quran, and build a sense of community.
2008–2023
Our Growth
Over the years, the masjid has grown significantly — from a handful of families to hundreds of active members, from basic prayer space to a full-service community center, from small gatherings to large weekly programs and events.
Today
Where We Are Today
Today, we face a new challenge: our space is no longer enough. We are seeing increasing attendance every year, growing youth participation, and expanding demand for education programs. But our facility limits what we can offer.
Future
Our Responsibility
As our community grows, so does our responsibility. We are committed to expanding access to Islamic education, creating space for youth development, and serving families with dignity and comfort. This requires a larger, purpose-built facility.
By the Mercy of Allah
Masjid At-Taqwa has become a spiritual home, a place of learning, and a hub for community connection. We continue to grow, and with your support, we will build a legacy for generations to come.
